In a career spanning over 40 years he has had extensive experience in the Engineering Export, Finance and Insurance sectors. He has extensive working experience in the USA, Germany, South America, Indonesia and The Philippines.
With the Privatisation of Insurance Business in 2000, he set up Life and General Insurance and Re-Insurance Brokers Private Limited which has emerged as a leading insurance and reinsurance broking company in India today. Over the years the Insurance business has extended to the Middle East, Sri Lanka and the UK. Engaged in handling Risk Management Systems and insurance portfolio management for leading Corporates in the Petro-chemical, Infrastructure, Shipping, Aviation and Liability insurance segments. With the establishment of Insurance Business he has promoted Thynksight Technologies Pvt. Ltd. which has developed the MB360 SaaS platform for Employee Group Health which is deployed by reputed International and Domestic Insurance Brokers. He has also promoted Semantic Technologies and Agritech Services Private Limited which is engaged in providing remote sensing and Technology based Precision Farming Support to the farming community in India.

As a highly-seasoned professional, he has spent over 40 years in the general insurance sector in India and abroad. A former Deputy General Manager at The New India Assurance Co. Ltd., he has a wide experience in functions such marketing, underwriting, claims and designing specialty products. Mohan handles specialty reinsurance proposals and has been credited with crafting tailor-made training programmes in India and abroad for insurance companies as well as large corporates. He is also a former faculty member of National Insurance Academy in Pune.
